Easy Chicken Curry

You will need these ingredients:

Chicken - 900 grams
Eastern Chicken Masala Powder - 5 tablespoons
Salt - to taste
Oil - 2 tbsps
Mustard - 1 tsp
Onion - 1 large sliced thin
Tomato - 1 larged chopped
Green Chillies - 5 slit into halves
Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tsps
Curry Leaves - 2 sprigs
Potatoes - 3 cut into large cubes
Water - 3/4 cup
Coconut milk - 1/4 cup

Method:

1. Clean the chicken and cut it into small pieces.
2. Rub the chicken with the Chicken Masala Powder and salt and marinate this for 1/2 to 1 hour.
3. Heat the oil in a pressure cooker.
4. Crackle the mustard and add the sliced onion and green chillies.
5. When the onion is done, add in the tomatoes and saute until the tomatoes are tender.
6. Add in the ginger garlic paste and the curry leaves. Saute until the raw smell has gone.
7. Add in the marinated chicken and potatoes and mix well.
8. Add in the water. Do not add more water as the chicken will leave out water.
9. Close the cooker and let the curry cook (3 whistles on high flame).
10. Turn off the flame and let the cooker release all the pressure.
11. Open the cooker and place it on a low flame.
12. Add in the coconut milk and mix well.
13. Turn off the flame when the curry starts to boil.
14. This curry tastes best when with rice or fresh bread. It can also be served with Chapatis or Kori Roti.
